A room thermostat
A room thermostat is a device to keep the room temperature at a
set level, e.g. 20°C. Normally the room thermostat is installed
in only one room of the house, being the most representative (e.g.
living room). The room thermostat also should be installed at a
height of about 1,2 m, not in direct sunlight, not near heat sources
or cold air currents.
Room thermostats are more and more available in electronic versions
and with a time programme included. This time programme can for
some devices be set on a day basis, for others on a week basis.
