Boiler information
Flue gas losses
The combustion result in the production of flue gas (CO2 and
H2O but also part of the air O2 and N2 used for the combustion).
All the heat in the flue gas is not transfered to the water of the
boiler and the losses are proportional to the temperature of the flue
gas and the quantity of the flue gas.
The condensation of the H2O (water) the flue gas can produce an extra
heat gain. This is the principle use in condensing
boilers.
